mr. smith:
below is additional information that suggest that washington politics has had an adverse impact on some of those seeking justice at usda, especially, Black farmers. yes, we are questioning those that say otherwise.
the  demonstration and the filing of the wise v. usda case should shine some light on what we feel is true. i will send you the press release announcing this event on Friday in washington dc, in front of the us supreme court.
respectfully,
lawrence lucas

it seems little to no one cares in washington about all the pain and suffering inflicted on so many Black farmers and usda employees by us department of agriculture "the last plantation". that is why we (in buses) are coming to washington dc this week.

this is shameful.

March 29, 2016
Gary R. Grant

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, Eddie and Dorothy Wise along with several of their friends traveled back to their farm to remove their personal items from what used to be their home.  After finally getting a return call from the Federal Marshal's office as to what day and the time, they were told that they could come on that particular Thursday. They would be allotted 8:00am until 4:00pm that afternoon.  Eddie and Dorothy agreed.
However, we must let everyone know that we had called Congressman G. K. Butterfield's office earlier because Eddie had not received any call backs from the marshal's office despite the fact that he had called at least three times before a return call to him was made.  I had been talking with Eddie through all of this. I wondered if there was some playing around with this man, his wife, and his property.  At first, according to several people we know who have who knowledge about the date of the sale of the farm, they all were saying that the sale would take place on March 17.  However, since that was not the date for the sale, why did it take them so long to let Eddie know that March 17 was the date for him to remove their personal belongings? And finally, why did it take a call to the congressman's office to get a date and time for Eddie to go and retrieve his and Dorothy's personal belongs.
Then, on March 17, Eddie was waiting for some friends from a bit of a distance to assist in the packing and removal of his and Dorothy's things.  It was about 9am everyone was in place.  According to Eddie, the same marshal who served him the papers called at approximately  9am and without  asking any questions,  immediately confronted Eddie, saying something to the effect that "you know you were supposed to be here at 8am and you only have until 4pm to remove your stuff."  Eddie says that he replied, "Sir, you do not want to upset me today!"  The marshal then calmed down.  Eddie swears that he did not even say "good morning," but just jumped right on him about being late.
Unfortunately, my schedule did not allow me to go and help Eddie that day, but his friend John, from Durham, who took the original pictures of the marshal serving the removal papers did attempt to help out.  He was immediately informed by the same agent that "this is federal property and you are not allowed on this property."  Thus, there are no pictures of the packing and loading of the trucks on the farm.
John did station himself at the entrance to the farm and traveled with Eddie and others to the storage facility where all the personal belongings are now stored.
Just as Eddie does not understand, it is really difficult even for me to grasp the fact that the mobile house owned by Eddie and Dorothy which was not a part of any loan from the USDA, somehow became collateral for the delayed loan they received.  Now to add insult to injury, it has been taken by the government.  The Wises are indeed homeless.  This is a strange action by a government that is supposed to be "for the people."
Photos:  Eddie Wise takes a break as friends help him unload and put his and Dorothy's personal belongings in storage.  He was forced to secure two storage bends which added another $150.00 to his monthly bills since his eviction.  While he may be tired, this is the first time that I have seen pictures of him with this much pain and agony on his face.

Any assistance you can provide is needed and appreciated! Consider paying for a week of their hotel room, a week's worth of groceries, or anything you can offer. To make a contribution go to https://www.gofundme.com/39m8623g.
IMMEDIATE NEEDS
Eddie and Dorothy are living out of suitcases in a nearby hotel. In the short term they need assistance with these monthly expenses.
Hotel                                         $800
Food                                          $650
Medications                              $300
Fuel                                           $200
Car Payment                             $336
Truck Payment                          $259
Storage Building Rental            $200
Total                                         $2,745 /month

Plus $400 per hour for attorney

SAVE THE FARM STEPS

Eddie and Dorothy want the same opportunities given to their farming neighbors over the years. They are committing to keeping this farm in agriculture for the next generation. They simply need a fair chance to succeed. At present Eddie and Dorothy want the following.
Eliminate all Farm Debt                                             $575,000

Hello!
I've started the petition "Barack Obama: Stop the egregious hate crimes committed against the Independent Black Farmers and the USDA employees. Demand USDA to settle the cases of The IBF and employees on the merits of each case." and need your help to get it off the ground.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here's the link:
http://www.change.org/petitions/barack-obama-stop-the-egregious-hate-crimes-committed-against-the-independent-black-farmers-and-the-usda-employees-demand-usda-to-settle-the-cases-of-the-ibf-and-employees-on-the-merits-of-each-case
Here's why it's important:

This petition was started as a result of the US Dept. of Agriculture and the federal courts in all districts of the United States not following the laws when it comes to Black farmers. Americans should sign this petition because of the blatant egregious widespread discrimination at USDA Better known as "The Last Plantation." Black farmers need equal protection under the laws of the United States of America! Signing this petition can impact the lives of tens of thousands of Black farmers and their heirs across America. There are 14,000 plus cases of discrimination inside USDA unresolved, they need to be settled.

You can sign my petition by clicking here.
Thanks!

Bad news for Medicare? R U Gonna Stay Silent?

Melissa,

Last week, we achieved a major victory when White House sources announced that the Chained CPI—a Social Security cut that would get worse over time—would not be in the president's upcoming budget. This is huge. This cut has been at the center of all of the "Grand Bargain" talk over the last few years—President Obama even included it in his budget last year.

The bad news is, while the administration indicated that Social Security was safe, there's still bad news for Medicare in the budget.

Amid the cheering over Social Security, many overlooked an insidious cut to our earned benefits—a practice called "means testing" for Medicare, which would force middle class Seniors to pay more for a program they've already spent their whole lives paying into. Out of pocket health care costs already consume more than a third of the average Social Security check. If that amount increases, that's just as bad as the Social Security cuts we've been fighting.

Tell President Obama and Congress that a cut to Medicare is a cut to Social Security—and we won't stand for either.

The fact that the president has now taken Social Security cuts out of his budget is a testament to the incredible work we have all done together. All of the petitions signed and delivered and all of the phone calls made have led directly to this. So thank you.

You deserve a hand for this victory. Thanks to you, the conversation in Washington is about how to expand our Social Security system instead of cutting it.

Social Security Works members have been on the front lines in protecting our earned benefits. Whether it is defeating the Chained CPI, or protecting Medicare, you continue to make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans.

But we can't afford to rest. Wall Street billionaires will continue to apply pressure to our elected officials to cut earned benefits. And we have to make sure that the president and Congress are on our side.

We must use the momentum from this victory to ensure that Medicare "means testing" doesn't undermine the future of our earned benefits.

Tell Congress and the president – a cut to Medicare is a cut to Social Security!

The news this week has been unbelievable. Thank you for getting us this far. It wouldn't be possible without you.

BLACK FARMERS 28APR2009 NO 5 - YouTube

PRESS RELEASE: According to Lawrence Lucas and the information at hand in a April 2009
press conference, the USDA admits doing wrong(?) and no one has been held accountable to date
and as an American Tax payer I would ask why?

He also stated that the USDA has done these same things to Blacks, whites, women, other ethnic and
socially disadvantaged  USDA Program Borrower's and the USDA employees that help them. These
also include the white farmer's who have been on the county committee and passed loans to the
farmers for his skin type or gender, of for going to a different church, club etc,

What else should be brought out id that some of the white farmers from predominately or only white
areas the USDA went after the land before the so called borrower's came to USDA m USDA came
after them....

It did not matter what color, the USDA had access to the US Geological Surveys from the late 1800's at least through 1907, which excluded many areas  from being surveyed again because of the riches that lay
below the surface, while running over these peoples, civil and human rights they were giving loans to some
so that it would be easy to take the land from them keep them separated by skin and gender so we can be conquered more easily.

By standing together and comparing notes...just as America has also stood together United so should
the American Farmer stand together United no matter what race ie, Native American, Black, White, Hispanic,
weather you are a woman, man, able or disabled, we have not just had civil rights, but constitutional      rights, human rights, and maybe even some of this could be criminal, and amazingly no one has been held accountable...

Pay the American Farmer's Hold Accountable the ones responsible!
We know about the Young Executive Report and the planned stealing of our lands!
Keep Standing and expanding the stand with the American Farmer!

When the Hotshots were driving back from an "end of season party."Were there  incidents of alcohol, drugs, assault, sexual assault, driving under the influence and other incidents from these parties that are condoned and even encouraged by FS management starting with the managers and instructors at Wildland Apprentice Academy at McClellan? Will  managers be held accountable for these improper and unprofessional behaviors and attitudes  or will these incidents  continue?

Some of the same unprofessional behaviors and attitudes are thrown down to
all branches of the USDA including the way that Customer Farmer's are Targeted and have been targeted even before they become customer/farmers, they are trapped into bogus loans to steal property that has been in American Farm Families for generations, the Bonus for foreclosure at the USDA has led to fraud waste and abuse and much wasted tax payer dollars, non compliance in the unlawful and unethical treatment  of the American Farmers and USDA Employees in the unprofessional manner that USDA Management, civil rights office , OIG, and a whole host of collaborative agency players have unlawfully, fraudulently gainfully benefited
by these horrendous practices they have collutioned  against anyone who wasnt partaking in the Legacy practices of coveting or stealing what thy neighbor(s) have.

In loo of the above an automatic investigation into all previous allegations should be
started as soon as possible so that the accountability and transparency.

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
November 18, 2013 - 10:01 pm EST

CAMPTONVILLE, California — A forest firefighter lying in a road was run over and killed by a colleague in a sparely populated stretch of Northern California in a bizarre early morning traffic incident involving alcohol, authorities said Monday.
California Highway Patrol investigators said a driver in Yuba County early Saturday spotted a man, Michael Patrick Kelly, 32, lying in the road about 3 miles from Camptonville, California, which is about 80 miles north of Sacramento.
The unidentified driver flashed his high beams in a failed attempt to warn an approaching vehicle that it was on a collision course with the man in the road.
The small car with six passengers, driven by Andrew Gruenberg, 26, struck Kelly, who was pronounced dead at the scene with head and torso injuries, the CHP said.
After hitting Kelly, Gruenberg traveled another 2 miles to his destination, telling investigators later that he believed he ran over an animal. A passenger called 911 and reported the collision and a "hazard in the roadway."
After arriving at his destination, two of Kelly's passengers got into another car and drove back to the accident site, where they encountered emergency crews.
"Alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision," CHP officer Greg Tassone. Tassone declined to release any further details, saying the investigation is still active. He did not say who authorities think was drinking.
The U.S. Forest Service said Kelly was a full-time employee and squad boss for the Tahoe Hotshots Crew, which is based in Camptonville.
Gruenberg is a member of the same crew.

The most egregious form of hateful deceit and torturous behavior comes f...

Human Rights Violations are also happening to a Select few White,Black, Native, and Hispanic Farmers here in the United States of America.

The numbers are now small but the egregiousness from all of the same agencies are
real and affect  the now elderly, disabled, children, the next generation as well  as the Farmer
and his spouse.

We all are asking for real help to address the violations of our God Given, and Constitutional Rights, to pursue the right to be happy, the Right To Farm,  and the
Right To Freedom(s) of speech, and Liberty.

We want(ed) to raise our family (ies) in safe rural environments the way God intended!
or we would not have inherited the right to do so!

Some speak about what our Fore Fathers said and done in a metaphoric way
not me the men who wrote the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights those are our Fore-Fathers..

I am asking you help these American Farmers get the word out and draw attention
that there is still a problem and we are tired of the USDA and the DOJ sweeping
this mess under the rug! We are tired of the we will do this for you but you have to keep it quiet from the same agencies where is the transparency and where is the people
who were turned in by the Farmers who are labeled Whistlblowers, none have done time
they even gave them the right to sign a paper before being investigated to save their
retirement, some of which came from bonuses for the Farms they foreclosed on!

otherwise known as The "Young Executive Report" read into the Congressional minutes June 1972! aka: the Plan to Liquidate the American Farmer! By young executives of the
same agencies and businesses they trusted and done business with!

Sir or Madame,

My name is Ferrell Oden and I live in Alabama. I am writing to you this morning on behalf of the Independent Black Farmers remaining in the United States of America. I am writing to you for help. The independent black farmers are being discriminated against by USDA/OASCR Joe Leonard/DOJ/the judicial system. Therefore, the end results are total destruction of any farmer opposing the admitted discrimination. We have findings of discrimination signed by Dr. Joe Leonard appointed by the Obama administration. Dr. Leonard knows first hand how the USDA will destroy a person at will, he had to go to Rev. Jesse Jackson and NAACP Washington Bureau chief Mr. Hillary Shelton to get the USDA off of him for not doing his job! As a result of Dr. Leonard's ability to cry race discrimination to the two named earlier and remain in the job of asst. Sec. Of Civil Rights at USDA has allowed the USDA/DOJ/OASCR/Judicial System to become terrorists against us, the independent black farmers of America! America needs to know the truth about the USDA and the conspiracy to destroy a race of people systemically as admitted in the attached document. Please help us tell the truth! Everyday that passes, a black farmer is losing everything we have as a result of discrimination!
We will meet you wherever, whenever, but please let it be soon! It is a lot of us!

Sincerely,

Readout of the Congressional Black Caucus' Meeting with President Obama
WASHINGTON,DC (Link)- Today, Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) met with President Barack Obama about voting rights, education, poverty and economic issues, and immigration reform in theEisenhower Executive Office Building.
During the meeting, CBC Members discussed the urgency of addressing high student loan interest rates and changes to the Parent PLUS loan program that have adversely impacted students and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); ways to address poverty and the high unemployment rate within the African American community; and ways to increase opportunities for minority small business owners in both urban and rural communities. The CBC also discussed how critical comprehensive immigration reform is to immigrants of all nationalities and to raising the quality of life for American workers.
In the wake of the Supreme Court's decision on the Voting Rights Act, the President reaffirmed his administration's commitment to fighting discriminatory practices in voting requirements across the country and to working with the CBC on legislation that protects every American's right to vote. President Obama committed to working with the CBC on targeted strategies to address unemployment among African Americans and highlighted the importance of passing immigration reform legislation that includes immigrants of African andCaribbean descent. The President was also receptive to many recommendations posed by the CBC to address issues facing our nation's vulnerable communities, including the10-20-30 targeted plan to end poverty.

Fwd: EPA Corruption investigation Started!

No FEAR Coalition
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 18, 2013
Gina McCarthy: Depositions have started
Exposing EPA Corruption at the Highest Levels

The new EPA Administrator, Gina McCarthy will not only have to focus on climate change and the toxicity of our air and water, but also highly public trials that are scheduled within months of her assumed-confirmation.  These trials will expose
massive incompetence  in the Office of Civil Rights, the inner-workings of a corrupt environment at the EPA that retaliates against whistleblowers attempting to protect public health.

Two EPA employees, Dr. Marsha Coleman-Adebayo and Susan Morris, will be taking EPA back to court to expose its treatment of whistleblowers and the impact on public health and civil rights.  Senior former and current officials within EPA will be deposed, such as Ray Spears, former Deputy Chief of Staff to three EPA administrators; Rafael DeLeon, former Director of Civil Rights and Human Resources as well as legal advisor to EPA administrators; and Karen Higginbotham, former Civil Rights Director now a special assistant in the Office of the Administrator. The depositions will cover decades of allegations of corruption at the highest levels of the EPA. Corruption that has, no doubt, placed the public and EPA employees in jeopardy.
The cases, scheduled for trial in the spring will demonstrate how EPA senior officials in key positions used their authority to retaliate against employees who raised prohibited personnel practices and warned of dangers to public health.  Dr. Marsha Coleman-Adebayo won a significant jury award in her case against EPA a decade ago that resulted in the passage of the 2002 No FEAR Act by Congress. She returned to the agency after her successful case only to face more retaliation andeventual termination of her career.

Depositions have started at the EPA in both cases. Senior level EPA officials have been subpoenaed and information will be forthcoming that will shock the public.
The trio (Spears, DeLeon and Higginbotham) were also involved in complaints of discrimination and retaliation filed by the former Assistant Director in the Office of Civil Rights,  Susan Morris. Morris filed a successful whistleblowing complaint with the Office of Special Counsel (OSC.)  The OSC, in a letter to former EPA Administrator Lisa Jasckon stated that their investigation uncovered retaliation against Ms. Morris for exposing the fact that Ms. Higginbotham refused to submit mandatory affirmative employment reports to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for Congress.   EPA defied an order by the EEOC to restore Ms. Morris to her position. FW: Federal Benefit Check

Attached Messag

SOCIAL SECURITY NOW CALLED 'FEDERAL BENEFIT PAYMENT'/ENTITLEMENT!

Have you noticed, your Social Security check is now referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment"?

I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.

I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you.

Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.

The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a Federal Benefit Payment.

This isn't a benefit its earned income!

Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too.

It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 invested in Social Security.

If you calculate the future value of your  monthly investment in social security ($375/month,  including both
Your and your employers contributions)  at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after  40 years of
Working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal  investment
.

Upon retirement, if  you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318  per year, or $3,277 per month.

That's almost  three times more than today's average  Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according  to the
Social Security Administration (Google it - its a fact).

And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)!
I can only imagine how much better most  average-income people could live in retirement if our  government had
Just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts.

Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever did.

They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot that it was OUR  money they were taking.

They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them.

And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed.
And recently, they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer.
But is it our fault they misused our investments?

And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a benefit, as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.
Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't mean that our investments were a charity!
Lets take a stand.

We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare.
Demand that our legislators bring some  sense into our government

Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going, for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.

Then call it what it is:
Our Earned Retirement Income.

99% of people won't forward this.
Will you?
