Dear Board of Directors of Dollar General,

On May 29, 2014, Steve Turner and Jay Turner, in collusion with federal employees, illegally foreclosed on a 72 acre farm in Alvaton, Ky. This farm belong to me, a Black Farmer protected by a moratorium provision in the 2008 Farm Bill. Steve Turner and Jay Turner were fully aware of the provision and Farmers National Bank’s involvement in this illegal foreclosure.

The Cowtown Foundation Inc. fully recognizes the right for American Citizens and Corporations to be heard. Unlike the opportunity that I did not receive, it is obvious that The Turner Family has ability to reach in unprecedented judicial and administrative areas. The Turner Family, founders of your corporation, profited more than $145,000 from their stake as first lien holders on  my farm. This profit was a result of the USDA striking a deal with Farmers National Bank by not collecting the overture of the sale of the farm. The amount, plus interest, that has been passed on to me.

As the founder and The Cowtown Foundation Inc., a Tennessee Corporation, that specializes in minority farmers rights at the administrative level, we are asking for a response from you, due to the fact that The Turners are large stakeholders in Dollar General. On April 25, 2018, a large group of farmers are filing suit against the USDA for the same types of illegal actions aforementioned. However, we are not going to stop there. We are also going to boycott any person and/or their financial interest, both nationally and locally until these farmers are made whole by the participating parties or their interests.

If you would like to speak with me, feel free to call at anytime or if you would like to settle or make whole the wrongdoings of Steve Turner and Jay Turner, please call my attorney before April 22, 2018. You can reach Josh Booker at 832 454 4282. If you choose to do neither, we will announce a National Boycott against Dollar General by all small farmers, in conjunction with multiple civil rights and designated farmer groups. In addition, we will also locally boycott Farmers National Bank, Marketstreet Enterprises and all shops and housing within Nashville’s Gulch area, Capstar Bank and Capstar Financial Holdings.

Sincerely,
