EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder are scheduled to appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 9am to answer questions on the Flint, Michigan water poisoning.
The Flint water crisis came to light in late 2015, due to activism by local residents who were exasperated by government inaction on all levels—local, state and federal. The ultimate authority for clean water enforcement rests with the US Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Water Act.
Please see below a link to the last testimony of EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy before Congress in which she was questioned about sexual harassment problems with the Region 5 director, Susan Hedman. Hedman was forced to resign over her mismanagement of the Flint water crisis.
Oversight Chairman Chaffetz said " A predator was fed (at the EPA) a stead diet of interns."
Please come to the Hearings and voice your outrage at the poisoning of Flint's children!
