Hombing oarry Truman's straightforward honesty was refreshing but never forget, he authorized the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, seized the steel mills and threatened to end the strike by drafting all of the strikers, wanted to nationalize health care. He was also petty, lambasting a Washington reporter who criticized his daughter, Margaret's singing.

I rad excerpts from Merle Miller's Plain Talking, about him, and he called one person after another dirty-no-good-son-of-a-bitch, that I asked who wasn't a dirty-no-good-son-of-a-bitch?

Refreshing and honest? Yes. Dangerous and petty, also.
