Melissa,

Scientists are trying to create a vaccine against cocaine addiction
using a mutated strain of Cholera. Yes, Cholera.

Cholera is an infection of the small intestine that is caused by
the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. The main symptoms are profuse watery
diarrhea, vomiting, and extreme dehydration.

Somehow, this doesn't sound better than withdrawal symptoms to me.

And, even though it caused some addicts to use 10 times as much
cocaine trying to chase the high, newspapers are still reporting it
like some sort of miracle cure...
