We held a spirited march to EPA Headquarters demanding that EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson promulgate revised clean air/smog regulations. According to Senators Barbara Boxer and Ben Cardin, over 200,000 new cases of asthma and other upper respiratory diseases will occur unless new air regulations are implemented. The president ordered Jackson to stand down on promulgation of new air regulations.The protest also called upon Jackson to stop retaliation against whistleblowers.We acknowledged our solidarity with South African vanadium workers. EPA Whistleblower Jon Grand was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the National Whistleblower Center.Please see pictures, video and news clippings from the Occupy EPA event.
