OccupyEPA Calls on Jackson to Blow the Whistle
OccupyEPA movement protestors will march against the Obama administration and EPA for standing down on clean air for Americans, retaliation against whistle blowers and the continuation of an dysfunctional civil rights office and its embattled director.
The protesters will begin their march at noon tomorrow from the OccupyWashingtonDC headquarters on Freedom Plaza down Pennsylvania Avenue to the entrance of EPA at 12th Street NW. The group previously marched with crosses and wreaths to emphasize the 7200 deaths, 11,000 emergency room visits and 38,000 acute cases of asthma that the agency said would occur if the standards were not implemented under the Clean Air Act for smog.
The group will set up a tent on the EPA lawn to bring exposure to the corruption at EPA and lack of effective leadership under Jackson. President Obama ordered Jackson to step down on smog standards and take up the cause again in 2013 if he wins re-election as reported by theNew York Times. Jackson's administration has also been mired in discrimination and whistle blowing cases, along with a highly dysfunctional and ineffective civil rights program. Since she arrived, she has allowed the entrenched senior leadership at EPA to run amuck. Retaliation against whistleblowers at EPA is well-known and continues unabated.
