The NoFEAR Institute convened the 2nd Annual Whistleblower Week in Washington (W3) on Monday, May 12, 2008, convening whistleblowers from all over the country. The week was highlighted by keynotes from Adam Kokesh and Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr., and by appearances by Congress members, Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, James Clyburn of South Carolina and Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa.
During compelling testimony from victims of governmental waste, fraud and abuse, the case was made for strengthening whistleblower protection laws through the enactment of No FEAR Act II, that seeks to address the shortcomings of the original NoFEAR Act that were revealed in a recent Government Accountability Office report.
