You shall know the Truth, and the truth shall set you free. We have all heard it, but not all understand it. The truth is not what some politician can give you.
Only The Absolute Truth will set you free.
The Absolute Truth about what happened the very first Christmas.
God became Man.
See someone had to die for our sins, and the only thing acceptable to God The Father is someone without sin.
Since we are all born with a sin nature (Thanks to Adam) there was no one that could set us free from our sinful way.
Then God The Son entered the world as a man, ON THE FIRST EVER CHRISTMAS DAY, As the first perfect man since Adam.
The difference, this man, Jesus Christ (both God and Man) lived as a Human and used only his Human nature to remain perfect.
Then this man willingly went to the cross and hung on the cross for THE SINS OF THE WORLD.
He hung on the cross and DIED SPIRITUALLY(lost his fellowship) for the sins of the world. What does this mean? For three hours, while alive! On the cross, Jesus Christ who had remained in constant fellowship with his Father(because he had no sin in his life) lost his connection with his Father while the sins of the world were imputed to his human nature(God The Father cannot have anything to do with sin so he had to turn his back on his son during that time).
Before Jesus died physically he said, "IT IS FINISHED" and he was referring to the salvation work of paying the penalty for all sins.
Now for The Absolute Truth that will set you free.
Most people want to know how they can get to Heaven.
There is only one way and it is repeated in The Absolute Truth(The Bible) over and over again. BELIEVE. BELIEVE. BELIEVE. BELIEVE.
Nothing more. Nothing Less.
Believe what?
My Pastor calls it Faith Alone in Jesus Christ Alone.
The scripture actually tells us numerous time, " Believe in The Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved"
What do you believe?
You believe in Christmas. You believe that Jesus Christ was God that became Man. You believe That Jesus Christ lived perfectly for approx 33years. You believe that he has already paid the penalty(Spiritual Death) for your sins on the cross.
You do not have to walk down an aisle to do it(not in the Bible). You do not have to raise your hand to do it(not in the Bible). You do not have to tell someone you did it(Not in The Bible)
What is in the Bible? Believe! So all you have to do is right where you are tell God The Father that you Believe and YOU WILL BE SAVED (which by the way is much more than a guarantee that you will go to Heaven but it is a guarantee of that).
The Absolute Truth will set you free. If you have never believed in The Lord Jesus Christ, consider it now. Open the only Christmas gift that really matters. Unwrap the present by believing.
